I have lost my (tattoo) virginity…
So today was a day of both happiness and sadness. We were sad to be leaving Kauai Hawaii but we were excited that I was getting my tattoo (though this did make mom a little sad. “can’t believe my daughter is old enough to get a tattoo blablabla” )
We got up, packed until we needed to go get breakfast. Then after foods, we stopped at the house for a while and then we, Mike, Ryan, Mom and I left. Jessi and Brandi stayed behind to finish packing. Mom and I were dropped off at the tattoo shop, the Little Tsunami, and Mike and Ryan went to Walmart.
It HUUURT. I knew it would but no matter how much you prepare yourself for it, you just can’t prepare for something that you don’t really know. My tat artist, Chanel, said that it should start hurting less after 10-15 minutes… it was muuch longer than that. After probably 30-45 minutes it did start not hurting as much. Then it would be good until she would pause for a little because then when she would get back to work, it would be killer again. Thankfully she was light handed. The person that did mom’s tattoo the first time apparently had a very heavy hand. Mom said it was almost like she could feel the skin ripping as that artist worked.
Mom got her old tattoo from Hawaii touched up for free. She really didn’t like it and kind of understandable. It looks much better now. We think that she didn’t do well because she was leaving Hawaii in about a week and was probably a little distracted. The people at the shop said that they have actually had a couple people come in
recently to get their tats touched up that were done by the same artist. That made mom feel better about asking to get hers fixed up.
When I was almost finished with my tattoo when the fam arrived at the shop. They had finished packing and had been officially kicked out of the condo. After getting it all wrapped up we were standing in the front of the shop and Chanel said, “So glad that I could give you your first tattoo” and Mikey said in a big dramatic voice, “You took my daughter’s virginity!” XD we all laughed and Chanel gave me a hug. (This is the picture of my finished tattoo buhaha!)
Then we had a lot of time to waste before we had to return the car and get to the airport. We had lunch/dinner, wandered around, went to the falls again and then dropped off the the van. We were dropped off at the airport at… 5:30-6ish. We went through security which was a little difficult. They pulled me to the side and did a pat down because the buttons on my stupid skirt set the alarms off –.- (did freak me out a little when they told me I needed to go to the side that they needed to do a full body search o.0) Ryan got in trouble because they thought that he was hiding something when in reality he was holding up his pants being he had to send his belt through the x-ray. XD
Then when we finally got through that fun stuffs, we went to our gate (which was freaking FREEZING!) where we stayed for 2 hours. Then our flight got delayed for what ever reason. This woman then called for anyone who had a connecting flight in Honolulu to come to a different gate. We got there and she was sending us on a different flight but she was very impatient. We were in such a rush, we were afraid the entire flight that we had forgotten something. Well, as soon as I sat down (in 1st class!! They didn’t have any other room on the plane so we got to sit 1st class for the grand total of 45 minutes) I know I had forgotten my phone. It had fallen out of my pocket and no matter how much everyone was telling me that it might be in my bag, I just knew it was still in Kauai. When we got into Honolulu, with all our stuff save my phone *twitch* mom kept calling the cell. Finally, someone with the airline called her back on my phone saying something along the lines of “You keep calling this number…” Yeah, cause we knew we were missing it. –.- Mom came over and she said “I found your phone. Its in Kauai.” All I could say is “uh, yeah, I did know that” I feel bad about it now but I wasn’t too pleased that I didn’t have my phone and I was so tired.
Mom has to do a couple of things and we are going to be able to get the phone sent to the house. I feel a little lost without it. I can’t check the time, I don’t know anyone’s numbers to tell them that my phone is still in Kauai *spaz* *sigh*
So after a 2 hour wait in Honolulu, We got on our plane. Off all the words I could use to describe that flight, restfully, comfy and pleasant wouldn’t be used. I could NOT sleep. So tired but I couldn’t get comfortable. And to make it all that much better, the guy behind me kept poking, pushing and kicking the back of my chair. And at one point, when I was starting to actually get some sleep, I out of habit, brought my leg up and tucked it under me… my right leg ;_; ouch. I finally gave up trying about 6am. I just listened to my iPod and played a couple games on it. Didn’t realize how much I missed my iPod… Jessi can stop stealing it.
The sunrise on the plane was really pretty. Wish I had had a window seat.
Hawaii was pretty but I’m looking around as we are driving home and I do love the hills here. It feels so much like home to me now. I’m definitely ready to be home. First think I’m probably going to do is take a shower being I feel disgusting. Then I’m going to lay on my bed and give Cheshire a big hug. xD Maybe that will come first…
I’ll call or text once I get home and find your numbers. Grrrrr.
…It would feel odd not saying night. Tis how I have concluded every entry.
-Niight! XD
