Wisconsic Dia 2

Landing in Appleton:
The colors where a little deeper...
Well, this may be a long weekend…
I guess I will start at the beginning of the trip. Yesterday, I dragged myself out of bed at a gross hour of 8 and finished getting ready. Grandma was at the house right as nine rolled around (though she said she wouldn’t be able to make it that early having things to do before hand but, it was not unexpected.) We set off a few minutes earlier making our way to the airport using both printed maps and a gps navigator thingy (shud up, I can’t remember the name) We managed to get through security really quickly, no problems at all (yays!!) and once we found our gate, we got lemon pound cake and a coffee (the first time I have ever bought myself a coffee ^^). Many hours later and a queasy landing, we were in Minneapolis. The lady who was sitting next to grandma and I had the window seat and was so kind as to shut the window as soon as we were in the air leaving Spokane and didn’t open it again until we were almost on the ground. >.< We only had about an hour to get from one end of the airport to the next.
Finally after finally cramming ourselves into a spit of a plane (so small that the only thing that would fit in the overhead containers were purses. There were only two seats on each side of the aisle) we had to sit on the mat for like half an hour. They had decided to cancel the last plane of the night so we had to wait for four passengers on another plane to land and to get to us. Eventually they got to us and we took off. Now having a window seat (grandma doesn’t like them) I could see that there is a reason that Minneapolis is called the "City of Lakes" Everywhere you looked there were tiny lakes. It looked really pretty seeing the setting sun reflecting of so many little lakes. When we were landing we got to see a pretty sunset (I always forget how flat it is here XD)
From one of their tanks which sadly
are no longer being taken care of.
When we land, it took us a little bit to find Jeff and PJ because they were waiting for us where luggage is picked up but we hadn’t checked any luggage. The drive home was rather long because it was spent talking about how stupid that PJ wasn’t being allowed to graduate. (short ish version: he didn’t show his work on problems in chemistry, teacher requires it, PJ disagrees. [he also didn’t do all the homework] so the teacher said he was going to fail because of it, and they think that because he knows the stuff, he shouldn’t have to show the work blablabla. He is still going to graduate just not be able to walk across the stage and is going to have to do a makeup week in the summer) They are so black and white about their opinions. And PJ has it in his head that if there is something he doesn’t like (“stupid things that I don’t think are right, like teachers or laws”) he should just ignore it. These people >.<
Once at the house, no one knew what to do. So awkwardly we all sat around in the TV room and attempted talking which wasn’t too bad until Cathy went to bed… then it got really awkward. PJ wanted to do what I wanted to do, which isn’t something I ever know. XD David and Jeff were impatient and wanted PJ to just choose. Finally he tried showing me some videos games, wanting me to play them. I did and that was alright for a while. Though it is kind PJ keeps trying to keep me involved, I’d much prefer they do their normal things and I watch. ^^’’
So, once Jeff and left, a few minutes of Video games played, there was a good looong awkward silence between we three cousins. I decided that it was ‘bout time my mono fatigue kicked in and I retreat to grandma’s and my room. There I sat in the middle of my tiny, old bunk mattress (on the floor) holding my phone in the air (ebil reception here) texting my Sanity. Eventually I was able to drift off to sleep.
Da pretty puppy who is making me
really really want a puppy
For my Handsome: my dreams were interesting and stupid. My interesting dream was there was a guy who was infected with this kind of disease? that made him glow in the dark. I think the dream was inspired by these hanging glass balls in PJs room that glow. They are really pretty (they are like the ones grandma has hanging of the TV)
My stupid dream; I dreamed I was about to wake up to my second morning in WI. It was really weird. The dream was of me laying in that tiny old mattress just before I woke up, thinking of the day before. I was thinking of all the things that we had done and I was trying to figure out what we were going to do today. It kinda gradually slide into me really being in that right before waking state. That’s when I started to realize that I hadn’t been there that long and that this was going to be my first full day >.<

And that’s when about 9:30 rolled around and I woke up. I was just gonna text a good morning text and then go back to sleep but my phone was dying. By the time I got the stupid phone to start charging, I didn’t feel much like trying to go to sleep.
Grandma had left me; she had gone into town to do a couple of things. This left me in the house with PJ, David, and an extremely stressed and irritated Jeff sooo I stayed in the room. It wasn’t long before Grandma got back with food so I ventured out to eat and saw that the boys (eventually there would be the three plus another one named Andrew who Jeff made put his coat outside because it smelled too strongly of after shave (I couldn’t smell it). Honestly, we all have things that bother us but we deal with it, whether it is jumping through the hoops of teachers or smells of people. The people here don’t Xpp) were trying to up in a microwave (one of those that is in the cupboards above the stove). Grandma is a very sweet creature and wants to help, buuut, she isn’t very helpful. So I quickly finished off my food, showered, and asked if she would take me into town so that she wouldn’t make them worse (most Jeff and David).
We went to k-mart (no cool knee high socks >.<), visited my grandma’s sister, and after a meal with the boys at fast food (we meet there), Grandma and I attempted to find her old house. The first way we tried we couldn’t figure out, it was a kind of short cut we couldn’t remember. So we went the long way around and the only thing we remembered completely was the first turn was at an old gas station and that the house was in a clump of trees. Every time we would come to a turn, we would sit there and we would both point which way the felt was right. Each time we thought the same way and amazingly enough, going completely on instinct, we got back to the house. The area is as pretty as I remember it.
Da real bows.
(Jeff, PJ, Andrew, David)
Da "baby bow"
We couldn’t put off coming back to the house off any longer so we came back. Eventually the boys got out the bows and arrows. We shot a couple of times, grandma and I using the ‘baby bow’ which “anyone one, even a toddler could use” because we couldn’t pull the sting back on the other ones. David just couldn’t understand that I wasn’t able to pull back the string so every once in a while he would have me try again. I kept telling him that I’m a girl and weak (and reminding myself that I may have weak arms but I has strong legs!) Then they got out their paint ball guns and were showing them off/shooting them. I shot it like three times, as I’m not really interested in doing that with these guys, I wouldn’t have mind if it had been with my Fam though. Then I came inside, safe from the tons and tons and tons of bugs, talked to my Sanity for a few minutes and then came upstairs to listen to them all talk about star trek.
Cathy eventually got home and made dinner (I tried to help out as no one helps her with anything. She worked all day and then she does things like serve Jeff his dinner or go get him food upstairs when he wants it.) We watched a couple of movies which was nice (‘Once Upon a Mattress’ [which was pretty good] and ‘Zombie Land’ [watching that I knew I was in an all male world]) Grandma went into her room and read while we watched the latter, it wasn’t exactly her style… by any means. (aaaand as a side note, I freaking hate romantic parts of movies. Makes me miss my Handsome soooo much T-T) When the movies were done,  I helped Cathy clean up after all the boys.
Now I have wandered upstairs into the dark living room for some peace and quiet. Jeff and Cathy asleep and I don’t know what the boys are up to down stairs. David is probably gone off to bed at this point and PJ, the lazy creature, probably doing sometime on the playstation 3.
Sorry about the long blog post… Needed to get it out I guess. Writing it did make me think that maybe they aren’t that bad but they sure can get on my nerves really easily!! Hopefully it will get better soon. I think (and pray) that Cathy will be home tomorrow all day. She makes things much easier.
